Avista-NAIA World Series Bracket Announced
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the official seedings and bracket for the 2012 Avista-NAIA World Series, hosted by Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) from May 25 - June 1 at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho. LSU Shreveport received the top seed in the 56th annual event with an Opening Round championship at the Paducah (Ky.) Bracket.

No. 1 Pilots take Paducah for second straight trip to World Series
PADUCAH, Ky. - The no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots made it 16 wins in a row on Saturday afternoon with a 5-1 win in the championship game of the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round to win the Paducah bracket over the no. 11 Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders at Brooks Stadium-Doc Hideg Field. Logan Norris tossed a complete game gem and was the second Pilot starting pitcher to do so in the tournament.

Mortensen, Gonsoulin lift no. 1 Pilots past no. 11 Lindsey Wilson
PADUCAH, Ky. - The second game of the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening round was a pitcher's duel as Jared Mortensen pitched the no. 1 Pilots past the no. 11 Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Brooks Stadium-Doc Hideg Field. Ridge Gonsoulin nailed the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning for the second out as the Pilots earned their way to the Championship Game in the tournament.

No. 1 Pilots crush Bobcats in Opening Round
PADUCAH, Ky. - The no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots got some early timely hits and another solid outing from Matt Lackie to storm past the Peru State Bobcats 9-3 in Thursday's NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round game at Brooks Stadium. The Pilots pounded 11 hits while Lackie held the free-swinging Bobcats to five base-knocks.

LSUS' Pearson receives NAIA Champions of Character Award
PADUCAH, Ky. - Kyle Pearson received the NAIA Champions of Character Award for the LSU Shreveport Pilots at the Paducah Convention Center during the banquet to kick off the 2012 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round for the Paducah Bracket. One member from each of the five teams in the tournament received a COC award.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the pairings and site selections for the 2012 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round on Sunday. Each of the nine locations will feature a five-team double-elimination tournament May 10 - 14.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots, who topped the NAIA Baseball Coaches' poll for the sixth consecutive week, will head to Paducah, Kentucky, for the Opening Round of the 2012 NAIA Baseball National Championship joining five other teams.

Pilots claim another Tournament Title
SHREVEPORT, La. - The no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots claimed their sixth conference tournament championship on Tuesday afternoon at Pilot Field defeating the Bacone College Warriors 5-2 claiming the hardware in the Red River Athletic Conference for the second consecutive year. LSUS has now won six of the last seven conference tournaments and have won three in a row.

DAY 3 Recap of RRAC Tournament
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots eased their way into Tuesday's Championship Game with an 11-4 win over Texas at Brownsville while the Bacone Warriors won two games to advance to the Tuesday against the Pilots as they defeated Texas College 11-4 and then bounced the Scorpions 4-2.

No. 1 Pilots cruise to RRAC Finals
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots will advance to the Red River Athletic Conference Championship game for the second straight year in a row. The defending tournament champions knocked off the Texas at Brownsville Scorpions on Monday afternoon 11-5 at Pilot Field. The Pilots have won five of the last six conference tournaments and will be the third time that they will play for the title in the friendly confines of Pilot Field.
